Hello!

My name is Hailey Vrolyk and I am from Rockford, Illinois. I'm a Graphic Designer graduating in May of 2025 from Ball State University. I currently work at The Digital Corps on campus as a Design Team Master.

I pursued a career in design because it allows me to combine creativity with problem-solving. In high school, I discovered my passion for design through art classes and knew I wanted to integrate it into my career. My goal is to do what I love every day, particularly in sports graphics, motion graphics, or UI/UX design.

Sports have always been a big part of my life, from playing soccer, track, and dance to attending my brother's baseball games with my family. As lifelong baseball fans, especially of the Chicago Cubs, I love the energy and community that sports bring—something I hope to incorporate into my career.

Motion graphics captivate me with their sense of magic, and I find the challenge of bringing designs to life incredibly rewarding. Similarly, my experience at The Digital Corps and freelance projects sparked my love for UI/UX design, which was further strengthened by a college usability class. I've enjoyed working on web design projects from concept to completion, focusing on accessibility and user-friendly experiences.

Outside academics and work, I am also a board member for Tommy Corral Memorial Foundation in Rockford, IL. TCMF is a foundation created in memorial of Tommy Corral who lost his battle with depression to suicide, and we strive to educate and spread awareness of mental health struggles and the importance of making mental health a priority. As a board member I help run events and my main position is focused on social media and any other design assets we may need. I have designed social posts, flyers, apparel, and even a Snapchat filter for our foundation! I work with our Meta business suite to optimize our social posts to reach as many of our community members as possible.

My goal is to continue growing as a well-rounded designer, gaining experience across the field on my path to my dream job.
